Mobile telephony market in Poland: time for value added services - February 2009

The mobile value added services market in Poland will be worth more than PLN 1bn in 2009. Mobile payments, mobile television and mobile marketing are expected to be the key drivers of the market growth.
According to PMR estimates at the end of 2008 the mobile value added services market in Poland was worth approx. PLN 930m, up by almost 22% year on year. Between 2009 and 2012 the market is expected to grow further, driven mainly by the development of new value added services that broaden the range of applications of mobile phones – mobile payments, mobile television and mobile marketing.
