Kielce Trade Fairs preparing more investments
2010-03-15
Kielce Trade Fairs is building more exhibition space in Kielce. The company, which recently added the final touches to an entrance terminal, announced a tender in March to find a contractor to build hall F and in the second half of April will organise another tender to choose a contractor to build a conference centre, Danuta Jamrozik-Szymkiewicz, the director of the Department of Investments and Repairs, informed Polish Construction Review.
The company is currently putting up hall G, which will have a floor area of 6,500 m 2 and serve as the showcase building for the fair centre. The deadline for completing the construction work is 15 July. Meanwhile, the company has also begun demolishing a building which was gutted by fire in 2009 and hall F, 4 400 m 2 in size, will stand in its place. The new building should be ready by mid August. There are also plans to build a conference centre which, according to Danuta Jamrozik-Szymkiewicz, was designed in such a way so that besides conferences it could also host concerts, exhibitions and other cultural events. The company likewise intends to expand the fair centre's parking facilities, and with this aim in mind plans to enter a competition announced by PARP and apply for financial aid for the project. The cost of all the undertakings, i.e. the entrance terminal, halls G and F as well as the conference centre, will come to around PLN 160m (€41.2m) net, PLN 71m (€ 18.3m) of which will be covered by an EU subsidy.
