Comstar continues regional expansion

Comstar-Regiony, the subsidiary company of the telecommunications company Comstar-UTS, has acquired a 20% stake in Eurotel and a 25% share in Upravleniye i Lizing, the infrastructure network owner based in Yekaterinburg, where Evrotel provides cable TV and high-speed Internet services.
The total value of the combined deal is RUB 100m ($3.4m), including the buyout of minority shareholdings in both companies. The new acquisition is part of Comstar’s regional business restructuring programme in Russia. The deal completes the full ownership of both companies and paves the way for their future acquisition by Comstar-Regiony.
